Koko’s Creative Prints nodigt uit tot een persoonlijke verkenning van bekende meesters en kunststromingen. In plaats van een directe reproductie vormt elke print het vertrekpunt voor een eigen interpretatie. Door te werken in de geest van iconen zoals Banksy, Mondriaan of Brood vervaagt de grens tussen kijken en maken, en leidt de artistieke verkenning tot een geheel eigen creatie.

Rather than offering a direct reproduction, each print serves as the starting point for your own interpretation. The Hero Edition van Koko's Creative Prints

Bijgaand een afbeelding van 'Muddo' zoals deze hero van de Valkenhof in Nijmegen liefkozend is gedoopt. Dit is een voorbeeld van hoe ik de hero in een creative print kan 'vangen' in een omgeving die uitnodigt om verder te bewerken door de geïnspireerde en bevlogen museumbezoeker.

Hereby an image of 'Muddo', the affectionate name given to this 'hero' figure at the Valkenhof museum in Nijmegen. This serves as an example of how I can 'capture' such a hero within a creative print, creating a setting that invites inspired and enthusiastic museum visitors to further engage with and develop the image.

Naast de bestaande collecties ontwerp ik ook collecties in opdracht: een Hero Edition. Hiermee wordt een unieke verlenging van de bezoekersbeleving mogelijk, die volledig aansluit bij een vaste collectie of tijdelijke tentoonstelling. Het gehele traject – van research en ontwerp tot de uitvoering – vindt in eigen beheer plaats.
Het complete productieproces is geworteld in Nederland, met een sterke focus op kwaliteit en maatschappelijke betrokkenheid.

In addition to the existing collections, I also design custom collections on commission: a Hero Edition. This offers a unique extension of the visitor experience that seamlessly aligns with a permanent collection or temporary exhibition. The entire process—from research and design to execution—is managed entirely in-house.

The complete production process is rooted in the Netherlands, with a strong focus on quality and social responsibility.

Bij de Hero Edition, uw eigen exclusieve collectie van Koko's Creative Prints, bied ik een bijbehorend product aan: Meet the Hero DIY-atelier booklets.

Zoals gezegd: de prints nodigen uit om bekende meesters en kunststromingen op een persoonlijke manier te ontdekken. In plaats van een directe reproductie vormt elke print het vertrekpunt voor een eigen interpretatie, die uiteindelijk leidt tot een uniek en persoonlijk kunstwerk.

In de bijbehorende (in samenwerking te ontwikkelen) booklet nemen we de museumbezoeker mee naar het atelier van de meester. Hoe kwam hij of zij tot zijn of haar iconische stijl? En wat gebeurt er als de bezoeker diezelfde principes toepast? De booklet reikt ze de sleutels aan door stijl-elementen, kleurgebruik etc onder de loep te nemen.

Door vervolgens zelf te schilderen, tekenen, knippen en plakken, ontdekt de museumbezoeker zoveel meer over de stijl van de museum hero. 

Bijzondere meerwaarde: de booklets kunnen ook als printable PDF aangeboden worden, om zo een publiek te bedienen dat niet in staat is om uw museum te bezoeken.

As mentioned, these prints invite users to explore renowned masters and art movements in a personal way. Rather than serving as mere reproductions, each print acts as a starting point for individual interpretation, ultimately leading to the creation of a unique, personal work of art.

In these booklets (which can be developed in collaboration with your institution), we take museum visitors into the master’s studio. How did the artist arrive at their iconic style? And what happens when a visitor applies those same principles? The booklets provide the keys to this exploration by examining specific stylistic elements, the use of color, and more.

Through hands-on activities—such as painting, drawing, cutting, and pasting—visitors gain a much deeper understanding of the 'museum hero's' unique style.

An added benefit: the booklets can also be offered as printable PDFs, allowing you to reach an audience that may be unable to visit your museum in person.
